What is a wireless network?
A wireless network is a Local Area Network (LAN) that replaces wires and cables with radio frequency (RF) connections. Wireless networks have a relatively small coverage area, in essence it is an internet bubble thrown over a relatively small area range is dependent upon the surrounding building structure foliage etc. Wireless networks give you the freedom to access the Internet, email, instant messaging services within the signal coverage area. Wireless saves on not having to run expensive cabling to each room or area you wish to cover
What equipment is used to provide this service?
It depends on the Park or Hotel as to what we use. In most cases we use a modified version of a Linux router in conjunction with high gain Antennas to deliver 99% coverage. The configuration of these components is dependent of the area to be covered
What I need to access the service ?
A laptop computer or desktop computer or handheld device with Wifi enabled.
How does a customer logon?
The Customer opens there laptop and it detects the network, the customer selects the WiFiZone network and then follows the logins procedure set out on the card within the coverage area.
Is my credit card information secure?
Yes, your credit card information is secure when you sign up for our service. All customer information is sent over an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) link to our servers for processing. WiFiZone utilizes the services of Secure Pay and the St George Bank so your information is secure.
What if they have problems using the service?
On the login sheets the help desk number will be displayed, we have a 24 hour on call support service and in 99% of the cases they will be talking to a real live human being.
